Silhouette on Canvas

This is a great craft to do with kids outside. It's fun but could be messy.

What you need
Balloons
Paint
Canvas
Painters tape
Darts

Place painters tape on the canvas where you don't want any paint.
Blow up the balloons and add some paint, different colors in each balloon. You might want to thin the paint with some water so its not too thick.
Attach the balloons to the top of the canvas with some tape.
Now comes the fun, older kids can throw the darts to pop the balloon.the paint will run down the canvas. Remove paint balloons
Let it dry completely.
Once dry remove the tape from the spot you did not want paint on and add the silhouette of your choice.

Bubble Painting

Mix food coloring with some bubbles, blow on paper and let them pop. The effect is really cool. I think this would be a great Summer outdoor project.

Handmade Color Panel

I saw this idea on Pinterest and thought what a great idea, this would be for kids. It would be a way to teach them color combinations, what colors compliment each other and it's an affordable way to decorate your child's room with their own Art Work.

What you need
Paper
Paint
Hole punch, they used a circle but I think any shape would be ok
Picture frame
Glue or Mod Podge

Have the kids decide what colors go well together, especially if they are going to hang it in their room.
Add paint to the paper, several colors in different spots and carefully blend them being careful not to totally loose one color. Let it dry and then take your hole punch and punch out your shape. I think it would be fun to have a heart surrounded by circles just to be different. Using the glue or Mod Podge glue them on the cardboard in the frame, keeping them within the mat. When finished put the frame together and you have a beautiful piece of framed Art that your child did.
